Q) If I am unable to come in for my scheduled appointment, will I be assessed a
cancellation or no-show fee?
A) Normally, yes. Office policy states that a 24-hour notice must be given prior
to canceling an appointment; appointments made less than 24 hours in advance are
also subject to this policy. If you are unable to come due to illness or
emergency, this fee may be waived. Please call our office for more information.
Q) I have insurance that is not on your participation list. What will I be
expected to pay if I decide to come to your office?
A) Full payment is expected at the time of the visit. If payment arrangements
are needed, please contact the office manager directly.
Q) I do not have my insurance card yet. Can I still be seen?
A) Yes; however, you will be required to pay in full at the time of the service.
Once you receive your insurance card, you can bring it in to our office so
that we can make a copy and we will credit your account for any amount
above your required copay. This applies only if we participate in your
insurance plan.
Q) My child needs to be seen by one of your doctors. He/she is 17 years old.
Do I have to be there?
A) YES. Any child under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal
guardian before any treatment can be provided.
Q) Will my insurance cover all of my services?
A) We cannot provide any guarantee of payment regarding your insurance coverage.
Please contact your insurance carrier or refer to your policy for coverage
information.
Q) Can you perform surgeries in your office?
A) Yes; our office is equipped with a surgery room and two smaller surgical
exam rooms. However, the more complicated or invasive procedures are
usually performed in an outpatient facility setting using local anesthesia or
monitored anesthesia care (MAC).
Q) What types of services does your office provide?
A) Please refer to our office information page for descriptions of the
services we currently provide.
Q) What are warts?
A) Warts are a viral infection of the epidermis (top layer of the skin). They
can be painful and can spread quickly to other parts of the skin/body. Warts
should be treated by a physician as soon as possible to prevent further
infection.
Q) What's the difference between over the counter or store bought orthotics and
those that are custom-made?
A) Custom-made orthotics are molded and/or formed to each foot by the using
casting method. This insures proper fit and comfort, usually providing the
patient with better and more long term relief from common foot ailments, such as
plantar fasciitis (heel pain), flat feet or fallen arches.
Q) I have been a patient at your practice for a long time; why do I have to fill
out
the registration paperwork each year when nothing has changed?
A) Office policy and HIPAA (privacy) regulations require that all patients
provide an update each calendar year, regardless of whether or not anything has
changed.
